View Full Version : Bodypaint 3 Question
I recently had BodyPaint 3 installed at work. I used C4D at a previous job, and often used the bake feature, especially with shaders with gradients set to cahnge according to slope. Later, I would use the baked result for certain texture mapping projects.
Now that I'm at a new job with BodyPaint 3 (and no full C4D) it looks like the baking feature is gone from BP. Is this true, or is it burried somewhere?
Anyone know if BP can bake textures to a file? Thanks in advance!

Bodypaint 3 and C4D are one and the same thing, you have the full C4D there. You'll find the bake settings under the render menu. You can also change the layout to the C4D layout if you prefer.

Bodypaint and c4d are not one and the same, bodypaint is available as standalone and i think that's what he's working with since he said "no full c4d",
and to answer the question : you can't bake objects or textures with bodypaint, baking is a feature of the render :)

In R10, Cinema 4D base and BodyPaint were FULLY integrated! That means both the 'standalone' version and other:
With just a flick of a switch, BodyPaint 3D users can now access all CINEMA 4D R10 tools which offers a full suit of modeling, animation and rendering tools.
Directly from Maxon's website. There is no 'real' difference now between Cinema 4D R10 (which includes BP3) and BodyPaint3D R3 (which includes Cinema 4D R10).
