Heyheyhey!
I'm somewhat of a newbie to Maya and I've recently started toying around with particles. The only real problem I'm having is with my Particle Collision. Even though its working, the particles are sometimes partly making their way through the surface.

Heres a pic make it easier to understand:

I've tried tweaking the settings on the geoconnector, increasing the resilience helps but that seem to make the particles bounce right off the surface which is something I really don't want.

If anyone have the time to help me sort this I'd very much appreciate it! :P

make a dummy surface, scale it down and use that as the collision surface then you will not have that issue...

I second this.

(and the reason is that Maya always calculate particles centre point and not it's geometry) remember that if you attache the statue of liberty on your next particle system ;) )

Alright I'll go with this! Thanks for all the replys. :)

Do I misunderstand here or why wouldn't it work if he simply bumped up the tesselation factor? I have the impression the problem is they sometimes pass through the surface completely.
