Hi there, we're trying to get an animation done with different shots using glow. Problem is still images look fine but as soon as we render in video format the glow keeps vibrating !
Is there a way to render it properly without exporting it in different layers ?
Thx

In a word, NO.

When you say render to video I assume you are using fields. It has been my experience that even thought they are suppose to be field compatable the effects render only on one field.

Now I'm still in Max 3.1, and have been provin wrong before but my fix is to render a 32 bit sequence (just effect, no fields) and composite using a copy af the scene with flat black materials and mattes to get the occlusion handled.

If you are in production you may consider a 3rd party effects engine like cebas or RLF.

Keep us posted!

I knew that would be a pain in the a...thx a lot Ls3d, I think we will stick to that good old RLF...for a change  that's gonna mean hours of post-production, thx for the flat black tip.
