Hi ho,
Recently the font on cgtalk has become very small and screwey, making it difficult to read. Has there been a font change recently, or is it just my pc? This has occcured on 2 different computers.

Just thought I'd ask.

I haven't noticed anything different than usual.

Just a thought but maybe you have selected VIEW/TEXT SIZE/SMALLEST ?!?!?!

If not then no problems found here...

OMG, noone knew that? next you'll tell me that to shut off your computer you actually use the start menu instead of just hitting the power button on your tower

you mean that "start" button actually does something? That is just too much. I bet you also believe that there is more thatn one way to access the control panel.:D

Heh, I've been using the net for over 10 years, and I've never seen the text-size changey trick before. I'm fully okay with admitting I don't know everything! :D

Incidently, I do use the start-menu to shutdown. Rather, I go "windows-key, up, return, return." Sounds like a Mortal Kombat combo.
:p

I noticed this power button trick when running Windows XP. I'm not sure, but I believe, that this doesn't apply to the other Win-OSes...

ENLIGHTEN ME!!!!! :D

And erm - other super tricks and short cuts:

Win-Button + E : Opens Windows Explorer
Win-Button + F : opens file search window
Win-Button + M : Minimize all windows

hey that window+M key is great, why is it you end up feeling guilty when hiding all the windows

press esc in IE to stop animated gifs.

*wish there was a shortcut to stop (overly animated) flash*
:insane:

Tommi

right mouse click on overly animated flash, hope that context menu isn't turned off, click "stop" - that's the... erm... long cut. :D

Win + Break and Shift + Ctrl + Esc are cool! Any more short cuts there?

Ctrl+Shift = WIN Buttton

handy if old keyboard

Or it used to do that... My XP don't work ??? Maybe was CTRL-Alt?

Anyway

WIN+R : Run (did you know you can type a web address in the run bar and it will open IE and go there?)

WIN+U : Utility window (with the extremely cool Narrator)

WIN+F : Search

WIN+L : Lock

WIN+Enter : Expand system tray icons

WIN+Space : Minimize window

To shutdown my comp i use either alt+f4 or in desktop press the power button. The sceond one i found it by accident.

BTW, pressing ESC in IE doesnt stop running gifs but stops the execution of the whole page.

Anyone else use ALT+(left arrow) instead of the back button? Or, get this, ALT+(right arrow) to go forward?
