View Full Version : Netrender Manager buggy as a dark place in summer?

I've been doing some netrendering for the first time ever over the last few days, and my experiences with the manager is that it's buggy as hell! Deleting a project in the Queue Manager will crash it 85% of the time, and starting it up again doesn't always work and it will just crash again...

And for its greatest trick the manager succeeded in apparently wiping out my registry in w2k! So now Explorer won't work properly among other things (can't start it in any way at all!).

Anyone else experience these problems, are there any fixes or am I just doing something wrong which I'm not aware of?

I'm using 4.26 (or is it 4.2.6, I can never figure it out).

There's one patch available on discreet website called 3ds max 4.2.9 #4.
This patch will fix this problem.
Go to discreet.com click on support then choose 3ds max from drop down list and click on downloads on left side, choose 3ds max 4.x and look for this patch.
