My fantasy is that they're not showing any facial movement until the movie actually gets released, just to make everyone think it's going to have the same dead faces they had in Polar Express. Then we'll all be wowed by how much attention they paid to the eyes and breathtaking life like facial movement, utterly blowing away what ILM did with Davy Jones.
That's the fantasy.
Don't ask me what color the sky is in my world.

New Footage : Angelina swaying her pony "tail" , ANgelina Jolies's CG breasts coverd with a gold like liquid
Man it's surprising what people consider "R-Rated" nowadays.

I suspect it got an R rating because of the red realflow that comes out of that guy's back.

I hope that those shots were rusher for trailer and will be fixed in final movie, but water and wet effects look sooo bad.

I really hate the style they chose to go with on this. They should have made it look like a Frazetta painting.

I saw the trailer for this before The Simpsons Movie, it made me die a llitle inside, even the girl i was with, who is a CAD jockey and knows nothing about cg, thought it looked odd.

I have to agree with frogspasm here a little. Showing off models moving via mo-cap/clean-up is all very well and good. They look amazing. But, deliberately not showing virtually any facial animation/lip-sync is kind of showing us that they're holding it back because it's not done yet, or for some other reason.
Once I've seen if they can get across emotion and lip-sync in the face I will be a happy man. I want this to succeed. But if your doing photo-realistic characters, you have to make sure your facial work is too. But I think everyone knows this.
I eagerly away a trailer with decent amounts of talking.

There is so shiny things going on, Angolina can never be too shiny though.
I hate to say it but this movie looks like it could almost be made in Poser 7!
I understand what they are trying to do here and I love the idea that they are doing something with CG outside of the talking animal/kids cartoon caper.
I love how they are pushing motion capture and honestly doing something differant than everyone else and even daring to make this movie in CG.
But at the same time I think this movie will be a failure at the box office.
I will have to see the end result but someone mentioned that it would have been better as a Fratzeta painting. I agree! I think some stylized work would have taken this movie to a new level like 300 did!
