View Full Version : Q?: Sub-D's and poly proxys

I am modeling a person by starting the a poly box then converting to sub-d's but I keep the poly box as a proxy object. now I want to conect the 2 sides to get rid of that nasty crease in the middle.

hey is it possible to have your model nice and smooth in the middle and still do the mirror editing.(same thing on both sides)

and how could I get my model back into a low res poly object. with all of the exact same faces as the proxy object.

and why when I try and add a shader to my model it doesnt cover the sub-d's it covers the proxy object.
and if I try to just select the sub-d surface using the hypergraph and create a new material for it the conection between the sub-d surface and the proxy object is broken.
