Hello all,

I have done a search here for Image File Lists, but I didn't get any results that were actually for .ifl.

I know how to create an IFL, and what the IFL does, but I'm a retard at animating anything and don't really understand how to properly create and manipulate the sequence object and the actual animation of the textures themselves.

I have an example of a cube using ifl for animation but without understanding how it is animated in the first place across time, I can't get thru it.

Now, I have a limited knowledge of animateing using the animate button, did the lil tutorial with the pingpong ball etc. But I'm still pretty lost as far as this goes.

So, with that can anyone lead me to a tutorial or a guide to working with IFL's?

Max handles the IFL just like a movie file - it detects the sequence and writes out a IFL even if you do not create one.

I don't really understand what the problem is here???

Maybe you just need to animate a file sequence and load it into a map channel to get un-retarded?

If you read the manual, it makes IFL files quite clear.

IFL (Image File List) is an ASCII file that lists other single-frame bitmap files to be used for each rendered frame. etc. etc.
