Help. I'm rigging a cockroach character. I'm trying to build a dynamic antennae rig, one where I can still control and key. I found this tutorial by Joe Harkins:

I followed everything but it still doesn't work. Some parts of the tutorial is kinda vague. It doesn't rtell me excactly which joint to parent and what not.. been rigging for over a week for the antennae alone. Can someone explain this step by step to me?

I heard there's a finished .ma file of this rig on the net but I can't find it anywhere. Can someone send it to me so I came take it apart and see where I did wrong?

When you test it are you using interactive playback? What exactly isn't working in your setup? Sorry for not understanding the problem. That tutorial is pretty right on from what I can see.

the new maya hair system has made softbodies obsolete for this sort of work. i mean softbodies work but hair is like a zillion times better :) its pretty much the same workflow but instead of converting to a softbody you convert to a dynamic hair curve.

this thread outlines two methods, the curve can either drive a spline IK or a wire deformer, for an insect i'd probably use the wire..

Thanks but I have new problem regarding the joints that I use to aniamte the dynamic curve (either it's hair, wire or soft body), would kindly and check it here, I really need help:
