Hi everyone,

I am having problem with my sound files in Maya. I usually drag and drop the wav into the timeline. It seems to play fine except for the last 20-30 frames...where it will just go silent. I can scrub and hear those 20-30 seconds, but not when I play them. And it doesn't matter what wav file I put in there...it is the same for every one. I figure there has to be something wrong with my settings. I have tried a bunch of different combinations. But here are my current ones:

SOUND
Waveform Display - ALL
Repeat - Off

TIMELINE
Height - 1x
Key Ticks- Active
Options - Snapping

PLAYBACK
Update View - Active
Looping - Continuous
Playback - Realtime

This is on a
P4 1.8
WinXP
SoundBlaster Live
Maya 4.5

Any help would be great.

thanks

your Maya most likely just go scewed up.
try reinstalling.
but backup your licence. just in case it uninstalls that too.

Hmm...

Well, the reason I think it would be settings rather than something wrong with Maya is because when I took my animation to school...my prof had the same problem on 2 different machines using my file. At the time we just thought it was the actual sound file. But it is not. I think it did it on the the other machines because of the prefs set in that file.

Uninstall will be my last resort. But in the end if that is what is wrong...then I guess I'll need to do that.

thanks
