View Full Version : offest fluids cache possible?

Hi
I'd like to know if there is a way of offseting the the timing of the cache for a fluids effect.
Imagine I have creted a cache for my fluids and the animation is move at a different frame, is it possible to have the cache offset to that position too, so I don't have to recreate it?
(Don't want to it it post since it's for the animatr to be able to see it).

Hello,

You could create a new time node ( createNode time ) and connect it to the fluid's "currentTime" attribute.
Then you just set keys/expressions on the newly created time node to retime the fluid as you need... did a very quick test here and it seems to work.

Now I don't know what happens if you try process the simulation with this on, so you might have to reconnect currentTime to the time1 node...
