View Full Version : How can I limit the range of motion of an IK system?

Hey Good People!

I want to make a mechanical arm using an IK solver that swivels only on the Y-axis.

Here what I tried.

I locked the X & Z rotation attributes of the base joint, then created the IK solver. But now I am having trouble controlling it with the IK handle. When I move the IK handle in one direction, and the end joint moves in the opposite direction.

Heres a simple animation of what happening.

Anyone know how to fix this possibly?
