Maya splash screen?

4.2 ? .. wow .. you have a secret edition .. i only have 4.0.2 and 4.5 :wip:

I dont know if it is allowed to hack into the dlls of an Applikation .. but you can use "Recourcehack" do open the dlls/exes and change the icons/bitmaps ect. .. so it is a pssible method to also change the logo.

I havn't worked on maya in a while it's 4.0.2 (sorry), in max U can make an image a bmp name it splash or something and Max will make it the loud up splash is there a way to do it like this is maya?

I like maya 4's splash screen isn't it that one with the spikey things.

I dont like 4.5's it is ugly.

Those are nice, but how do you get it display that size in Maya 4.5? Maya 4.5 seems to constrain the image to the default size of the original startup image. It stinks. I like the bigger ones better.:applause:

I think that 4.5's splash is much much more ugly than any other that exists.
or are 4 and 4.5's the same.

4, and 4.5 are not the same.

The size is different for one.

I want to be able to use the same size as in maya 4 in Maya 4.5, because here is the differences

You see how much smaller it is. When I put a larger image into my version of Maya 4.5 the Maya constrains it's proportions the equal size of the original 4.5 image.

I want it larger!!!!!! So I have something to see.

I'm sure they just reduced the size to speed up the startup time, but I doubt it is much of a difference. :p

Yes I used ResHacker. The bitmap is called mayastartupimage.xpm.

Well i thought all Maya splashes were "bad quality" for what the package really gives you... (yeah Maya rules... )
But now they come up with the 5 and they hit the big prize with the red logo and the bold metalic 5

Have you people tried the hardware render and the great vector renderer...? That`s a sweeaty...!

i haven't seen any use for the hardware render other than particles like the old hardware render buffer thinga majig. whats the deal with it? is it more of a games thing? i'm not in the game industry so i'm just curious i guess. the vector renderer is indeed nice though. can get some nice styles with it :)
