I was under the impression that PS CS3 utilized painting on 3D meshes real time? All I can seem to get it to do and the tutorials on the Adobe website only seem to be able to rotate the mesh and apply textures done in flat 2D. Not bringing in the mesh and drawing directly on it. Is there something that I'm missing or is this it?

Photoshop CS3 is no replacement for an app like Bodypaint, unfortunately. You can't paint directly on the mesh... which makes the whole procedure kind of pointless, IMHO.

Yeah, that's what I'm realizing as I'm trying it. Totally useless. I was like, "oh this would be cool for someone who doesn't have access to a 3D program and just wants to do something simple...". Then I was like, "Oh, well I guess they need a 3D app just to get something in here...".

Oh well, I was hoping for something like bodypaint but I get let down. Aw. :(

Btw, liked your work in your cg portfolio and your site is really well done. :)
