View Full Version : Simulating water with fluids
LukaStellwag 08-22-2007, 05:18 PM Hello!
I'm not that experienced with Fluids, but since I've read somewhere that its not possible to simulate water flow with Maya Fluids I wonder if there is a way to do it anyway.
Thanks for the replies.
Cheers,
Luka

You CAN get a liquid effect using fluids but its pretty limited.
To do it I read somewhere that making the viscosity a negative value makes the fluid more watery, haven't tried that but it makes sense to me.
Also, just make density as dynamic with a negative bouyency and Surface set to Hard Surface.
Dont forget to add an emitter with density and a fluid container with a low res to kick things off, cache and stick the jug on.
