I like the model, except the background is looking a bit odd. Also, the man is looking a bit bland. Maybe some hole in his shirt or some stains would work? Cool pose btw :D
The whole image really has style, I kinda like it, although it seems very "clean" for the style of the man (I'd see him more dirty).

Good work on the character I think it looks pretty, pretty good. You should have spent more attention and time on the environment, though. It looks a bit strange with the grass only covering such a small area of the ground.

Hehe really love him, very moody feeling !Good work !
But frankly i feel the environment is lacking something .. as to what that may be ...some accesories for his gun? a reason for his stains ?
Good job anyway, really like the attention you bring into every single one of your characters !
Cheers!

Any chance we can see some more pics of the character, a wire maybe? I'm working on my own 'big-bellied man' at the moment.
I really like this pic.

Looks awesome, great modeling and lighting... however, looks like the whole scene is lacking bump mapping? :surprised
Cheers,

exelent model, the face is superb. but it does lack of specular highlights and bumps. the ground also bugs me cuz it looks green but doesnt look like grass.
i dont mean to be rude but... why your site looks like a tea party?

I love the fat guy :)
The house is odd ,I agree ,but it has a very nice look to it . Maybe it's the angle but the house looks a bit like cardboard.
Nonetheless very nice atmosphere.

good work, though the house behind appears a little bit artificial, add some lichen(or stuff like that) on the foot would be better.

thanks for your comments, if I find the time I'll make some changes (especially on the background), but for now I feel like I've worked to long on this piece.
jeb - it's not grass, but the lighting makes the ground look green. Btw, I admit my website sucks :D
KWAK - thanks! here's a wire, good luck on your project

wow very nice wire dude. the face model its so simple but yet so well sculpted. you know how to place a poly where it belongs.
are you planning a new view?

The new render is looking much better, especially the background. Maybe you'll find some more time to work on this piece one day or another. The wire is also really good.
