Supporting computers? Right, but not Mac's. >.<

That is being worked on as we speak, but you should also thank Adobe for dragging thier feet on getting the Mac SDK using Xcode out of beta. They obviously needed to write dozens of plugins for the CS3 release, so why couldn't they have updated their SDK at the sametime if not before the official release.

Thought Photomatix was still the best of the best?

I guess that is all a matter of opinion ;) I have never really had good results with Photomatix, and the auto alignment simply sucks but it is better than Photoshop.

Right, but not Mac's.

Is the whining ever going to stop? Sorry if that sounds harsh, but I think it's counterproductive and annoying if the announcement of every new release of a piece of non-MAC-ready software is going to be answered in this or similar ways by disgruntled MAC users.

RabbitRun, you have a very valid point. But i think it is healthy to know that there is a very eager OSX user base that may have have been neglected. But it's not really until the Intel Mac have come out that development has really vamped up, so all you Mac users give developers a bit of a chance and they will catch up.

That's true and I wouldn't have responded in the way I did, had somebody asked politely if there was a MAC version in the works.

No one seems to have noticed this on the link that was provided either :)

At present this package is only available for Windows users, but we actively developing Universal Mac OSX versions of all the plugins. Order Now (http://www.supportingcomputers.net/Applications/Products.htm)

That was just updated, so it was valid for him to wonder about OS X.

There are some truly awfull examples on their site. They're not doing themselves any favours there.
I can't stand looking at photographs of very bright outdoor scenes where the entire dynamic range is crushed into a perfect histogram bell curve and the saturation set to maximum. Reminds me of really bad matte painting showreels. :D

Quoted for agreement. It often seems to me that alot of people have no clue what to make of that new format. They just tonemap an HDR without any adjustments then think its looking "weird" therefore interesting...
There are very few good examples of a real good use of HDR

The photomatix gallery has some nice examples I think.

I think preference is very objective, but i will say that those Photoshop plugins are able to produce very realistic or surreal results that up to the user. If you look at how most ppl especially in places like Photo web sites ppl prefer the surreal results, where as i find most ppl in CG sites prefer the realistic results.
