View Full Version : Non-Organic rigging

I am sort of a newb to the rigging part of 3DMax so this might be obvious to others.
I am trying to animate a truck that has a cab and trailer.
The cab has a path contraint and it follows and banks properly. The problem is getting the trailer to follow and do the proper rotation on the back of the cab....

Any ideas or tips, if i should be using bones or something else?

This is just an idea as ive not done this before but you might be able to have the trailers rotation follow the cab with an expression so if the trailer goes right the back of the cab would swing right. I.e if the pivot of the trailer was closest to the cab.

Hope that helps you but I dunno if its the correct answer either. Keep posted.
