View Full Version : 2 free plugins
I-dea graphics 03-31-2003, 03:06 PM just uploaded 2 free plugins on our page:
http://c4dplugins.idea-graphics.de
Set Instance
On princible it is the same as the C4D build-in function "Add Instance Object" but it works with multiple objects and it also takes the position, rotation and scaling of the original object.
Align Assistant (Expression)
Aligns the childs of an object group optional by position, rotation and scale. The first and the last object in the group are alignment-objects.

Thanks very much! That instancer plugin takes care of one of the few things about Cinema that really annoyed me.
Since you seem to be on a roll with these gui issues, here are a few of the remaining interface behaviors that get on my nerves:
--no ability to set path preferences for file open/save, bitmap open (so if you load an object from one directory, the next time you try to load an image in a material channel Cinema looks in the object directory instead of the textures directory, etc.);
--no ability to create a new object (or instance, or group) at the currently selected hierarchy level (i.e., Cinema always adds the new item at the top of the OM);
--when you control-drag an object in the OM to copy, Cinema assigns the copy the same name as the original object (in contrast to using copy/paste, which appends ".x" to the copy's name).
BTW, I bought your Tag Manager plugin and it's superb! Keep up the good work!
