Dear friends, colleagues, fellow Beta testers and artists,
I would like to take the opportunity to inform you that after 2 years of more or less complete neglect I have updated my personal website. This is still an ongoing process, so bear with me if you stumble upon broken links and also forgive the incompletenesss of the rest of the site. So what's new?
After Effects error code knowledge base
I've added a section featuring After Effects error codes and messages along with explanations what they potentially mean and how they can on occasion be avoided or circumvented. I've been working on this for some time now, collecting info and researching some of the problems, and I hope it will help you all understand some of the mysteries surrounding After Effects a little better. So far I have 137 reliable entries and I will continue to complete the list as I go along and find new messages. You are all invited to participate.
Downloads and legal stuff
Another part that has reveived a minor upgrade is the download section. I have added some projects from my stash and made some older stuff accessible to a greater audience. I have many more projects half-finished on my computer and as soon as I can find the time to polish them up, I promise to publish them.
Regarding the use of the projects there is a major change. Everything is now given away under the "Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 License". This means you can study and use the projects for your school and hobbyist ventures, but are not allowed to redistribute and sell them, modified or otherwise or use them in your commercial work. Any deviation will henceforth constitute a breach of those rules and an illegal act and I will hunt down your scalp ;). If you want to use them in a commercial project, you have to get my personal clearance and as a minor, make a notable donation to keep the site alive.
Mylenium wants a Mac!
On the matter of donations I would like to once more direct your attention to all those buttons on the top of the pages and ask you to make good use of them. I have decided that I need a Mac along with all the software and for that I will need every penny I can pick up somewhere.
If you are interested why: No, I don't believe Macs or software running thereon is in any way superior or more stylish than my trusted set of quality PCs, but as it turns out I have to admit my lack of knowledge on the Mac has become a hinderance to my evolution as a helper bunny on public forums as well as during Beta testing. So send me your dollars and I can be even more useful. And for those, who don't get this complex a message:
More donations = I get my Mac sooner = I will switch to a less restrictive licensing scheme = you all have more fun with my projects = I will be more motivated to give away even more stuff
Speaking of which - you can find everything discussed in this short message at

Thank you all for your time and patience.
