WIP Nautilus...

Well, what can i say, it dont resemble the Nautilus i usually see around;)

The model looks cool tho, like some 1700ish view of a futuristic sawfish inspired submarine. What we could use is maybe a few more closeups, and a wireframe.

I thought the color was a little different, more towards green, but I could be wrong

Here are some more images to go on. The model is based on Disney's Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

I actually downloaded the original blueprints to go by.

Some questions...

Are you planning on doing any of the interior (so you can see in through the windows)?
Are you working on a background/scene to put it in?

I was thinking of designing a docking station. I just dont want to be too cliche by throwing it into a underwater environment. But I am not set on anything right yet.

I would like to do a bit more on the interior. I did put in a wheel at the helm.

If you have any ideas or suggestions, I would love to hear them.

I have worked on the textures a bit more to rough em up. I couldn't leave it looking so plain.

As for a background, I think I may put it in an underwater environment. I just havn't had too much luck with fog. Any suggestions on using fog in Lightwave?:hmm:

I would love to hear anyones critiques?

Thanks for your comments, I'm a big fan of Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. For me it's a personal project, always wanted to model the iron beast. :scream:

I found the blueprints from the actual design on the web.
