Look cool and nice colors.
crit:
Only problem I see is that the piece is ambiguous, abstract and in a lose style. It's difficult to critique works like that unless the viewer is given a set of parameters in which to judge the work with and or given background details so as to formulate a constructive opinion.
You did mention your goal for an avatar. In that case I would think that a more recognizable and common object would be better (unless of course you are ambiguous and abstract… seeing how avatars are mini iconic representations of ourselves… heh). Try it and see if it looks good scaled down.

Your right. It is ambiguous, abstract and in a lose style.
What did you mean by "background details"?My previous work?Unforunatly I ain't got one.Or you ment story about character?I wanted to present a powerful entity,all-seeing and knowing creature, with whole universe reflecting in its eyes, capable of shifting realms of reality.
As for the avatar your absolutly right.I will try to make something simple.Simpler is always better.Btw,thanks for commenting.

You're welcome. :)
Or you ment story about character?I wanted to present a powerful entity,all-seeing and knowing creature, with whole universe reflecting in its eyes, capable of shifting realms of reality.Yes, that's what I was talking about.
For the most part ambiguous, abstract and pure-decorative works of art need something else to be enjoyable to most viewers. Things that help are ONE: background information is provided. TWO: There is a series of the works (several illustrations resembling each other). THREE: They are very big in scale. FOUR: They are the first using a particular technique, process or some other trick or novelty. FIVE:They are stuck in an art gallery. One of the main reasons that the modern art galleries were created (by critics, curators and collectors), was because the main stream populace would not tolerate modern works of art (those which are more ambiguous, abstract and lose in style and presentation).
