I found this comical this morning.. some good 'reference' for chick models too.

Tecmo's stance on the matter is rather interesting..
So does anyone have the patch? :D

that's both funny and interesting. If games on Xbox started opening up there games for mods, would kick soo much ass. I mean Xbox is already great but being able to develop games/mods for it without having to be a part of a game company would be great. Not only great for wannabe developers, but great for game sales and xbox live. Look at half-life, no one would be buying that game now if it wasn't for great mods.
Although I doubt games will start to allow that. If they don't make direct money off of something, makes them look past the possibilities. Consoles can learn a thing or two from PC gaming community. Mods extend the playability of games. EA is finally figuring this out. Releasing SDK for MOH:SH and allowing mod capability for BF1942.

You have to think about everything else that is running. In DoA Volleyball (I´ve never played it before so I dont know a 100%) Its just 4 chars and a net, maybe a few background objects. Of course you can use that polycount then.

If you´ve got a large level, with loads of effects and other objects and players, things look different. :shame: (and its a different system to the pc anyway)

So that model wont put a rest to the 'blah your 5k character won't run, it's too high'

LOD definatly helps with the high poly models in-game. So 5k when scaled at a distance to a few hundred (including background objects) is acceptable in my opinion, as long as there is the technology to make it happen.

As for the XBox mods... I am all for it. I would love to learn to mod on the XBox.

Err you guys are crazy. I know doaxvb is more comparable to fighting games ala doa3, and that even doa3 has alot more background detail.. but how can you not be impressed with 4 25k characters on screen?! That's borderline high poly, even in this limited context.

As for the 5k comment.. from my xbox prototype and pc (depending on minimum requirements) experience, 5k is quite acceptable for a main character in a more detailed and complex game.. and a long way from 25k!
