View Full Version : BHairy Crashing when Tip Deformer Applied

Hey, I am trying to adjust my hair with BHairy using the Tip Cage deformer, but every time I do it, it crashes XSI. I don't have many knots on my hair object and it keeps crashing everytime I use it... is there a way to get around this crashing...?

Don't have any pb with the tip cage deformer here.

I can move any points / edges or polygons of the cage without any crash.

it is kind of weird... I am trying to get my hair looking right and it is keeps on crashing...maybe because I have such a high polygon count on my character...i have no idea..

Have you tried with an other object (same number of poly) ?

How many segments do you used ?

This can happen ( with some other Bhairy ops, which creating objects or clusters, too) if your mesh is under model. I would try to move mesh under the scene root, then move it back after finishing with tips, splitting, and such.

I am going to try this now and see what happens... I also did this on an extracted mesh and it still crashed...

Okay, it keeps crashing when I go to do the tip cage deformer...and I did remove the mesh under the scene root and it keeps crashing....

I have the mesh at SubD Lvl 2, 5 segments for hair...i did this on a simple sphere and it caused no problem....
