hey really gr8 reel.and like the way it's presented. i also like the music.
Can you tell how you did the magnifying glass shader?

As for the magnifying glass shader, it's really simple, all I did was:

1) obviously, I had to render the street shot first to be able to blend it in

2) then, the mag. glass shader is very simple actually, the refraction effect is done with a MIX shader in the refraction environment slot. I used the pre rendered street shot twice, but with different mapping applied to them and blended with a gradient ramp. The first slot in the MIX map had the street sequence mapped via SCREEN coordinates, the second slot had the same street sequence mapped via SPHERICAL ENVIRONMENT coordinates, both the maps were blended using the mentioned gradient ramp map.

3) I then rendered only the part when the mag. glass reaches outer borders of the camera view, the rest was blended in Combustion (postproduction).
