Hi eveyeon, fitst off I'm not that experienced with fluids or particles in maya so this may be fairly basic.
Basically I'm trying to render out the timelapse cloud example that comes in mayas visor. Now sometimes this works but more often than not maya crashes. Also when i try and do a batch render itll do about 5 frames and then stop even though i asked it to do 50. This is all in Maya 7.0 and using maya software.
The other thing is was wondering is can fluids be rendered in mental ray because so far when i just switch over to mentral i don't get any fluids rendering at all. Thanks for any advices, or tutorials anyone can suggest

hi there,
First of all, yes you can render Fluids with mental ray and I'll strongly recommand to do so as it's waaaay faster and prettier.
Next, what kind of machine do you have? it might be a memory issue. you might not have enough.
just my 2 cents.
