View Full Version : After Effects Alternative?

Hi guys, I need some help here...I was wondering if there are other alternative softwares other than those popular ones that allow me to composite a simple shot? Unfortunately I cannot afford a copy of Adobe after effects and I hope you guys can help me out here =(

If you have no budget you might want to consider Wax or jahshaka ( http://www.debugmode.com/wax/ - http://www.jahshaka.org/ )

They are free and not too bad.

Last time I used Jahshaka it was a horrible, bug-ridden mess. Wink was better, but not by much.

The new version of Axogon (which used to be called Mainvision) will be out sometime this year. (www.axogon.com) Worth keeping an eye out for...

Thanks for posting the Wax link! I'm saving up for Combustion but I don't want to stall working on my personal projects, and so far Wax is working out not half bad.
