Hi,

I've got C4D version 9.5 on my one machine and V10 on the other.
IT does not want to install V10 on both of my machines, so i sit with a problem
I do all my scenes normally in V10, but can't work on it in V9.5.

Is there any way I can keep the materials & everything to be EXACTLY the same and use it in V9.5 while the V10 machine is busy rendering?

thanks guys

There is no way what I know. It is really one C4D feature what I hate. Maxon still develops C4D SDK and thus there is no way how to correctly translate new version file to the older :-(. You can use standard export plugins, nothing more.

It belongs to my wish list, it could by very usefull for a whole community, but I know it is very hard and "time eater" task.

Choppir,

Export your 10 file as FBX and import back into R9. It seems to work okay.

Copy your C4D 10 folder to the other computer along with the "mca10" pref files.
Then you can run the two versions simultaniously, that is when you are working on a Mac.

birdy,

are you saying that one is able to work on files of either version by doing what you suggest?

tell who ever is in charge that it needs to be on both machines in order to get work done. thats the answer for any practical functioning company
