I am a newbie to all of this so please bare with me. I have several questions. I want to learn how to texture a model and also I need to learn how to us the UV editor, what are some good tuts for this? I have used some of Digital tutors stuff and I have use 3d tutors stuff also which is better for getting a solid foundation of XSI UV maps and texturing?

I am also trying to learn how to use Mudbox. How do I add more detail to this model using Mudbox? Is my base model to detailed? Here is a picture atttached below.

You can never be too detailed. Specially if you're going into mudbox or the like. Generally you start with a lower-rez mesh and subdivide but that appears to be a good model to start with.

As for unwrapping, it's a process, so I would suggest some of the DVDs and whatnot in the area. You mentioned DT... they along with Gnomon are the best, IMO.
