Sorry to bother all you Maya gods out there, but I really need this question answering...

I do programming using C++ and DirectX 7.0...however, I need a 3D modelling app that can create Direct3D "X" files.

These ".X" files hold model, animation and Texture information.

I know TrueSpace6 can create these files, but I would really like to go for Maya 4.5...any info would be great - especially when I'm about to fork out £3,000 for it and a new PC!

Opps! Sorry, what I mean't to ask is "Can Maya 4.5 create Direct3D "X" files?".
