When modeling, pretty much my only reason for not working in Expert mode is that I can't see how many vertices/edges/polygons I have selected at any one time.
Surely I couldn't possibly be the first person thinking this I thought, so I figured that there had to be some plugin out there that would provide this functionality, but alas I have not been able to find any.

Does anyone perhaps know of a workaround/script/clever technique to accomplish this?
