Athey 08-14-2007, 05:59 PM Yet another one.... I think from here out I'll just put all of them into one thread or something... Dunno. Whatever.
Started him yesterday afternoon.

Love the eyes Athey...
How many of these do you plan on doing?

You're like an assembly line lately. On model after another :)
Looking good so far even if it does share the same creepy faces as those dolls. The only thing about this that seems funny to me is the armpit area though I'm not sure why. The eye's are very well done as mentioned above. Looking forward to seeing this completed. Perhaps when you are done you can set up a glamour shot with the whole group?

Damn good job on the eyes!
As far as posting the group, you might need a little more variation between your characters. Though they're all different characters, all together, they'll feel a tad generic I think. Maybe they need some sort of theme or style (aside from the creepy doll faces) to tie them together while pushing their clothing/props to make them stand apart.. I hope that makes sense...

Brilliant. The design of the shirt is my favorite part of this texture.

Fantastic, hair and eyes really emphasising the model.

Woo.
I think next I'm gonna pose him and the last one together in a single scene (they're siblings) plus it'll make the height difference more obvious (he's more then a head shorter then all the rest)
Oh - hehe, and those two lens flares in there are probably the first time I've used lens flare in photoshop in like Five Years. It was funny to me to be using it for some reason... heh. I could of just done it in 3dsmax, but it's so much faster and simplier to just throw it in in photoshop :D

Okay, well my husband was bugging me to do a render with some actual lighting instead of leaving the textures as self-illuminated, so that's what you get for this one.

Really like these models, both of them. For some reason the one on the right bugs me slightly. Seems that the hair might be photosourced and doesn't go with the rest of the hand painted feel. That said, good work.

I prefer the more painted hair of the girl (it fits better with the character). The straight photo referenced hair seems out of place on the little one (I think it might also be the the varied hues (blues and browns) in his hair). Also the the top of his hair looks too flat.
