Hi, I am hoping if you have a spare couple of minutes to check out the first pass of my first showreel.
This is what I could come up with in my “spare time”. Don’t seem to have much of it with a full time job, study and a travelling band. ;)

Please crit and let me know whats good and bad. Thanks!

I am still cleaning up some of the animation (lip sync etc.) But just want some feedback on it so far so I can tweak it.

Also if anyone has any good advice on getting a nice smooth video export for web viewing at a fairly low file size I would be very grateful.

I used flash video for this test and it seems to skip a little bit.

you can see it http://fadedseoul.com/demo/showreel_test.htm

Pretty good first reel. If I were you I would take out the first lip sync. You are re-creating a pixar animation, so everyone who sees it will compare your animation to that. Some of your animation seems a little floaty as well. Like the weight lifting bit, when he drops the wieght. Keep up the good work!

Thanks alot for your comments...I was thinking the same thing about the first lip sync after I made it...I liked it because there was not much background noise and was a clean track (and i love the movie)..but you do have a good point.
Its great to have new eyes looking at it for me!

Abazaba, thanks for your comment and for looking at my work.
I agree with you about the Incredibles shot and right now I am chopping the demo down and tweaking some of the animations to give them a bit more flow and life.
thanks again, its helpful to hear advice from others in this field especially now my eyes are tired!
