its an interesting image :)
but something strikes me a odd, put I can't quite put my finger on it, it could possibly be the lighting, it looks a little like its seperated into areas

Interesting..I think the perspective is a bit odd, youre looking up at the girl but down on the landscape...
what?

the girls arms appear to be floatng. maybe give her a greater impression of weight?

interesting pic

Thats exactly what I saw, Its like an like one of those neverending stairways. (sort of) but very nicely done. Maybe too many dragons?

Ummm, very nice colors. Nice modelling.

Compostion wise, this piece is lacking. The perspective feels all wrong. i would suggest you show more of the rock/mountain she is standing on, cause right now it feels like she's just floating somewhere off in space. I would add more to the mountains, give them some more details.

I like it more because of the perspective.:)

well, it was all about perspective, and that is why i made it like that, so you have those impressions cause landscape is far far away from focus of the image (girl and the rock). yea maybe too many dragons .... :)

I'm gonna have to agree with every body on the whole perspective thing.

There doesn't seem to be any sense of depth in the picture.
It makes it seem very 2d.

Everything is very detailed and in focus. The mountians in the distance are just as clear as the rock ledge in the foreground.

The one thing that bothers me the most, is probably that there is no motion blur on the dragons flying around.

One other thing, but not very important.
Your composition could use some work. Everything seems very cluttered to the left side. There is a lot of dead space behind your character on the right.

I think that you definitely have some work to do still, but if you can nail it, it could be a really nice piece.

Good Luck

Ok. firstly, its a wonderful concept u got there. Maybe u'd like to add some dof so that there'll be some atmospheric perspective. Secondly, scene composition..have things placed at one thirds, try not to have any placement of objects at halves. an example is your horizon thats placed half way downwards along the image, maybe u'd want to put it at one third from the bottom? maybe then there'll be more depth in your image.

Thirdly, its one helluva concept u got there!! the girl looks fine to me, she's got that strong character look.

the part with the "looking down on the landscape and straight at the girl" is called fov boys and girls ;)
can be done in quake with /cg_fov 120 or in Ut2k3 with fov 120. It can also be done on your cammera:
A human sees in 50mm (talking about the objective (dont know if its the same word in english as in swedish)), if u lower that, zoom out - to say 28mm (most standard objectives go from 28mm-###mm) you will have some fov. If you have the money to buy a fisheye objective, then you'll get some crazy ass fov ;)

nice pic!

Aside from the big perspective issue, the first thing that caught my eye was the rock she is stood on. Looks a bit of an odd shape, and also the main thing was it looks a bit... plastic.

Other than that i really like it. great idea and nicely done.

Good work :buttrock:

The perspective has to be the odd thing, a picture needs 1 center of focus, or it tends to look wierd, so if you make the castle back there a little more crappy looking, and the rock and the girl really great quality and close, it should be fine.

flow, thanx for "perspective class" :)

also i hope all of you realised that my intend actualy was to make an odd atmosphere (green sky !?), also cause dragons are so so far away they should move really fast to make motion blur (i don't think it's possible). ...of course pic is not perfect but thanks for all critique .. :)

... and for those who don't like this one, here's daylight version:

I am LOVING the daylight one! SUPERB!

same crit as before tho - just the rock looks plastic. I, personally, am perfectly happy with the perspective but the rock caught my eye.

Great stuff!

Wee,, first of all,, this is my first post here =PP

to the point. The Reflection angle from the Sun is totaly wrong. The angle from the sun and the water to perspective doesnt make any sense.

you can se the sun and also se the a total reflection in the water.
I would suggest to move the sun a bit higher or get the refletion in the water away totaly.

I hope this make sense.

btw did i mention that i really like your work?

Ah awesome! some minor points everybody seem to have brought up but you're talented, nice character, soft pose and I like the dragons.. Nice one! Keep up the good work mate!

I also agree, great concept but there are a few things I would comment on:

Try changing the scale, or pose of the dragons, because they're all seem to be exactly the same just different positions.

Maybe you can also do something with your character, because it seems like she's focused on something we don't see.

I agree with that reflection, I don't know if the angle is right, or if it's too much of a reflection, but keep up the good work still looks good. :buttrock:

Your perspective is way off. The lack of Depth of Field and the awkward angle that every thing is in just throws off the pic. I Find my eye is swimming...

Great concept, I'd add some haze to the background to perhaps help increase the depth of the image. I'd also make the forest much greener to counterbalance the saturated sky.

Still, great idea!:)

I really like the the way the pov is handled. Don't change it. When I first seen it I thought "awesome, not another straight on or technically correct but lacking picture"

Nice job and thanks for the view

nice.
but the rock that the castle is on needs to be more sharp.
it is to round. it is like an upsidedown hill.
I like the girl. gives it a nice touch.
certainly wouldn't be even half as good if just the other stuff without the girl and that rock she is standing on.

It's a very beautiful image. A very interesting idea.
I can only see one thing that bothers me a little, and it is that the forest ends so suddenly, if you know what I mean. :)
I really love that floating castle!

Cool looking scene!.. If your accepting critiques, I think the dragons would look more interesting circling the castle at different levels.. It may help to add depth, and allow the viewer to wonder what's so important that's captured the dragon's attention.
