I'm trying to improve the quality of my Max/Vray animations using Render Elements and Combustion, but am confused by the workflow once I get to Combustion and by the output of the composited passes.

The JPEG shows the different passes, and on the bottom row the image as composited by Max and my schematic view in Combustion, which results in something ugly. This is what's going on... (GI * Diffuse) + (Raw Light * Diffuse)... does that sound right? Any glaring errors?

I don't know what's the issue or the target, but I usually get the diffuse/reflections/Shadows/Ligthing/occlusion passes and it's not bad....I actually it depends...I don't normaly get them all...it depend on what I want to achieve.

once you get them... just play with the tga files and the blending mode...Sometime a depth of field helps too, it gets the impage more realistic...
