View Full Version : real time Self-Illumination maya NOOB Question

Hello everyone,
I was wondering how you could set up a real time Self-Illumination in maya or if it is even possible? Is this based on the game engine you use that renders it or how does that work or would you need to render it out and some how save that light map? I was curious because I would like to create a building that can change from day to night and the textures of some of the windows would have that glow. Thanks for the help!

There's the incadesence/ambient color channel that you could keyframe.
