No offense to Speed Bump Studios but I hope they're not thinking of bringing Futurama back purely in 3D. Please keep it hand drawn. Though the original series did use 3D sparingly but effectively.

from the comic con panel video, it sound like they're explaining about the show being canceled as if it was cargo they shipped and delivery... pretty funny!

i agree with you mental, i really enjoyed the 2d/3d aspect of the show. The trailer was funny and the animation was good, i am just hoping that it stays the way it used to be.

Its so good that it is back, one of the few shows i watch more than once.
simpsons
south park
american dad
family guy
futurama
TV is not worth the price of electricity without all of them.

I couldn't be happier. Of all the animated sitcoms on, they've prety much all gotten stale and repetitive.
I can still watch Family Guy sometimes, but I certainly don't go out of my way to make sure I see new episodes.
American Dad is just plain awful, and has been since the beginning.
South Park is just a bashing machine and takes shots at the easiest things in the world to take shots at.
The Simpsons haven't been funny in twelve years.
Futurama is the one that can probably still come back for another 3 or 4 year run and be very successful, if they can bring back all or most of the orginal cast and writers.

I must admit i would trade in american dad and south park for futurama but i enjoy aspects of them all.

Soooo looking forward to them! Futurama always was my favourite of the bunch!
Btw. it's a bloody cool idea of them to offer the bender rig! Bite my shiny metal a$$ :)
(oh and yeah, they better not make it all 3D)

Love the free rig, with a rig controller redo it could be a great little test rig. I'd have hated to animated with it the way it is now though.

That is the best news i have heard in a while.....can't wait.
Futurama was undoubteably one of the best written cartoons out there, with the most fleshed out characters of them all. Episodes of note:
- Leela's homeworld
- the sting ( the most moving episode by a long shot)

I'd give that reward to "Jurassic Bark". The dog sitting there, waiting for Fry....heartbreaking!

I remember the Futurama marathons as great nights and subsequentially very, very sleepy days. Just can't stop watching.

I'd go with the one where Fry can't remember what he did to make Leela love him, it also had the Harlem Globetrotters you can't get better than that.

my personal favorite is actually the final episode, where Fry trades his hands for the devils to win Leela's heart. The one about Fry's brother is fantastic, and Jurassic Bark is a phenomenal episode. As the series progressed, it got richer and more vibrant, I really hope they can keep that up with the new stuff.
When Family Guy came back, it was weird, it was still good, but it almost became a parody of itself, the original seasons are still the best, even the movie was great, but something changed after that, I wonder what happened behind the scenes. I really hope Futurama avoids that pitfall.
Super cool news I have the whole Box set every show Looking forward to new eps !!!

I do love futurama, and I am upset that I didn't start watching the show at the begining...however it is awsome to see it come back
however I wish cartoon network would get some love/ specificly adult swim for keeping it going...

What?? No way, that was certainly heartbreaking, but ---SPOILERS----
Fry desperately trying to get Leela to wake up out of her comas was much more moving in my opinion. And also, Leelas guilt and her despair....very well written
Man, i need to get out more

Yes, that one was excellent. Great episode all round. And when he finally realises what he did at the end just nefore it gets destroyed...awww man!
See? Great as south park/family guy/simpsons are, they will never be nearly as moving as futurama was. Lets hope the writers keep it up with the new ones...
