View Full Version : Connect Poly Shape Problem

Hey all.. thankyou in advance for any responses. I have a character completely modeled using connect poly shape. The head, shirt, pants, hands, and feet are all seperate objects. My problem is a texturing one. I applied a cylindrical map to the smoothed proxy surface, not the polygonal cage. I painted a texture for the model, and everything looks great. But, when I deform the object ( such as moving some vertices, or rotating the whole object ) the textures do not follow the model. The UVs are moving around, but they should be... i'm just moving the object, the UVs should stay put. Please help!

you should texture a duplicate of the smoothed model and use the Transfer option (under the Polygons menu) to transfer the UV's to the original smoothed model.
