View Full Version : Where to put me plug-ins...?
I'm trying to install chanlum and vreel but I cannot seem to get them working.
After thoroughly searching Cinema's (v7) complete map structure I'm convinced there's no folder apropriatly named plug-ins or anything similar. However I found a folder named "modules" wich seemed to contain plug-inns but when I put the files in and started cinema nothing happened. :hmm:
Can anybody please help me out on how to get these working...?
Thanks,

in XL7 you are correct...they go in the moduales folder...however if its not working me thinks you probably dont have the right version of 7
And just a tip...once you install a plug you have to close cinema, then restart it. ::COUGHCINEFEXCOUGH:::thumbsup:

whoa, in XL7 there should not be a modules folder, there should be a plugins folder :/ Are you sure your software is legitimate and that it is infact XL 7? I would consult your manual and see what it says about plugins

i used my friends XL7 and i put the plugs into a moduales folder in the resource folder...thats all i know.
that is very weird I would reinstall RL7 if i were you cause ther shoudn't be a folder marked modules.
anyway they go in your plugins folder.

no he is right about modules folder in the resource folder, and while plugins should work from there, they dhouldn't be put in there, thats for core application stuff, he should have a plugin folder in the main directory.
Ah well...
I'm glad they seem to be working now, I'll just leave it like this.
But if someone cares to help me with some values and settings cause they both seem hocus pocus to me. I read both of the manuals but I guess I'm just a bit dense...
I'm trying to use chanlum to make a nice luminance effect for a burning candle and while reading the manual it seems that it's also quite proficient in making a fuzzy material.
I was already quite satisfied about my fresnel fuzziness but there's always room for improvement.
