Our latest challenge!

Softwares: Lightwave3D, AfterEffects.
We are actually handling aprox. 7 million polys
so that we are going to write our layering-assistant plugin for lightwave since actually it does not include it.

Modeling consists of aprox 40 buildings, 5 highways levels each scene, some hundred cars and spaceships animated thru lw's particle FX engine.

Lighting is G.I. and Raytrace.
Textures are a mix of custom made and procedurals.
Volumetric explosions and particle FX generated thru Lightwave and Digital Fusion.
More than 50 layers (each camera) inside After Effects
more than 20 track points each scene
massive utilization of the Object id, matte id and depth.
Animated depth of field and Fog
per-building based color correction, light trim and 2d smokes.
2d Motion blur with pixel tracking.
Fine specular control thru ID and separate layers.

coming soon the final clip...

ciao !

Spectacular work. Very impressive
7 million Polys huh, its very hard to work with that much, which makes it even more spectacular.

Must post the animation when it is complete

How many people do you have working on it?

P.S. I love that furry character from the Yumo animation. (You should post that here:) )

beyond 20 different ships duplicate in the number and the textures, and beyond 40 buildings duplicate in various places.
