Well this is the project i am currently working on for the ugac and my portfolio. The concept is he was once the top model of sherrif bot in a world corrupted thought he was shortly discarded for the new and improved non sentient droids. He was found by a young girl on the run from the same government and reactivated. His AI took a liking to the girl and when she was captured he waged a one Bot war against the corruption to get her back and save the world from the evil that is slowly enshrowding the world.

Looks like a good start... but maybe try and make him a little less average. So...

...I would say go for the poncho and go all the way mexican on the guy.. with the oversized spurs (maybe even old gears if you are going for that look). That way you can give him a very detailed texture with all the rich mexican frills. Oh and the big hat of course.

Just thinking out loud.

Cheers

I was actually going to make him look old and rusted but i was going to try and go for the Clint Eastwood Fist Full Of Dollars motive lol gave him a cigar and everything lol. BUt did give him a poncho would you suggest adding cloth modifier to it to give it that flowy look?

Looks like a good start, only a fed days to make the deadline. I hope you make it under the wire.

The only thing that I don't like when i look at it is the face looks like a wleding mask. Perhaps if you pulled the corners of the bottom of the jaw in a bit and then back twoards the neck, it might help it some.

I loke the over all design of the body as it seems it would work great, but the head just seems out of place a bit because it has a clunky look to it. the rest of the body doesn't look clunky at all.

Good luck on meeting the dead line and yes add the cloth odifeir to the poncho ;)

Cool!

I think the poncho turned out well... some texturing is required to make it look like cloth and you probably have to remodel your poncho a bit when you have your character in a more natural stance.. so the cloth falls a little more around the shoulders. However... as long as the character is not in game... keep the cloth and let that do all the work for you. (probably add some polygons as well... cloth likes that)

I am looking forward to the textures, to see which way you are taking this. Does he have a mouth btw or is it just the cigar?

Cheers!

Long time no post on this one guys well here ya go. I got the modeling done i changed him around gave him a vest instead of the poncho. But i am having trouble with his weapon. I want it to basically be like a cops extendable baton but then turn into a whip. Kinda like ivy's sword but i have no idea how to start the rig to animate the thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
