Sangit 03-29-2003, 01:40 PM I know this has been discussed a lot but i'm curious if anyone has found the ultimate solution for a realistic skin shader in fR for max

let's share our knowledge, create something, and share the result aswell.

it's a vertex color map
with just a little SSS, thats all
i'm refining the whole thing
but i still don't have a good way for a procedural skin bump

Cool.
Hm. perhaps it's about time I dig in and do some research about the mysterious inner workings of procedural shaders.

no more vertex color now
i refined the colors a little, with some noise
and a perpendicular falloff to brown
the freckles are made with splat
