The first image really looks cool! I',m not too sure if the position of the tail rotor would not start the ship spinning even though it has two main rotors though...

The tail impeller is just there to keep the whole thing balanced. So when the main impellers turn to a more forward leaning position allowing more speed forward the tail impeller adjusts its wings to pull the tail down so the vehicle stays horizontal no matter what the main impellers position is.

Turning the whole thing at low speeds is done by leaning the main impellers to different positions. (i.e. one slightly forward, the other backwards)

Turns at higher speed is done by leaning the whole "aircraft" to one side via the impellers.

-> Thats my idea of how it should work. Dunno if it would be possible to fly this thing in real life.
