sandMan031 08-11-2007, 09:17 AM i was thinking, is there a way to achieve this effect exept actual modeling each part of the boken text individually. I've tried Mograph's Fracture object but I'm not getting the results I need.

I've made an example. Hopefully this is something you are searching for.

Looks simple enough, use the shatter object or explode object (not explosionfx) or disconnect on an editable mesh before making use of the fracture object (the fracture object only turns meshes into mograph particles, or components of the mesh that have already been split apart), then apply some deformers to some parts of the mesh to get a nice bent peices look (the displacer is good for this with a nice noise in it's texture channel).

M20 thanks a lot for the file, very usefull to actually see it done and play with the deformer, and Per-Anders thank you for the information. Dont know how completly forgot about the shatter effect. I am learning mograph these days and I've been using it a lot, probably this is why it was the first thing to come into my mind.
Anyway, thanks again guys for the info.
No problem sandMan031, i'm glad i could help you out. :)

VERY cool work, and thanks so much for sharing it ... only having taken a quick loko at it so far (time constraints) I've found it very useful ... lots of little, "OH! That's how you do that" moments :-)
