Title: IGU 1 - an iguana model
Name: salvo triolo
Country: Italy
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

Hi all, sorry for bad english.
I've finished an old exercise forgotten for problems about ram on my PC.
At the end, this is my beast and its displacements created with mudbox and simply maps founded in internet.
All critics are welcomes.

wow, looks like a photo, you acheived this really well. No crits, just a question, did you use zbrush or mudbox a little to place textures ? Your wire is nicely done, what time it has taken you for rendering with those displacement map ?

congratz again.

tnx tnx tnx...

@ Lacravette: I've used mudbox (4 subdivisions, 3.8 millions polygons, several displacement maps painted from me) and a times of baking of 4,5 hours (less or more, 1,5 for gi solition and 3 for render). tnx for reply;

@ evrim_yaln:me gusta too :) . tnx;

@ avm: tnx for compliments, I've added the second image simply clicking on "insert image" button and pasting image address (I've used imageshack.us as hosting site);

@ fede: the galleries are for the trains :D , tnx;

@ jah800: ok ok...I quote too eh eh, very tnx;

@ ekho: I prefer to model billiards balls now :)...looking your beast, is strange to notice as two similar scenes with the same subjects (iguana/branch) are very "differents":beer: ;

@ Intervain: the important is that you've appreciate it. tnx;

@ Ilusiondigital: :blush:...eh eh, tnx;

@ Genghis: tnx.

...a cent 4 a tnx...

hey Savat,
Really really great job. It looks amazing. The color and clarity is brilliant.
I cant say enough :thumbsup:

The one thing that really stuck out to me though as far as what could be made better, is on the knee in the final image. There is a circular glare right on it.. maybe you can move that off to the side or offset it so that it doesnt look like its part of the texture of the model.
And last thing, on the knee again. It looks like the UVs are being stretched. Maybe its because of the Z depth or something, but it looks like the UVs are stretching your color. See if you can tweak that a bit. I know you dont want to mess with this project anymore or see another iguana, i know how you feel :) Just throwin in my 2 cents.
Excellent job man! :buttrock:

Wow.... BRAVO! AMAZING work there Savat! I have tried to make a 3D model ofone of my bearded dragons but due to the amount of spike they have and the texture it just never looked right.... but now after seeing your work and ekho's work I'm re-inspired to go back and give it a shot again. And I want to thank you 2 for that.

Thanks.

Cheers.

I leave my beast in the showcase gallery and when I return it is ended in the CG Choice Award Gallery! bad iguana!
I hope has not made damages while it took a walk...

@ rdeyoung: yes there's a little stretch on knee caused from the exasperated pose and UV spite, glare help me to hide it :), tnx;

@ minkey: I attend your dragons, tnx;

@ Jones2915: no no, it is like in the dangerous scenes of the films...
it is held give of the cables that then I have removed in post production:D , tnx;

@ nightwoodwolf: tnx.
