Title: THE ISLAND
Name: Alexander Preuss
Country: Germany
Software: Photoshop

Well... itīs been a while since i posted something new.

This is the first work i have done after the dead of my beloved sister.

I had nothing in mind during the concept.... I just opened Photoshop and started painting on one single layer.... and after a while things began to take shape... and then i started to elaborate the rough forms until i got this as the final result.

I know this is nothing spectacular and the concept has already been used several times, but painting this image helped me a lot to get a clear head and to focus on something new.

Nevertheless i wanted to show you what i have done the last weeks.

Yours Alex

Very nice image Alexander. I like a lot the use of lights and shadows you draw, making a really contrasted and nice image, focusing the main piont perfectly. Great colouring also. Great work and keep on Alexander.

Your understanding of form and light is just wonderful - this is a beautiful piece of work. Magical, mysterious, really top notch.

Sorry for your loss, Alexander.

This is a real piece of art. I mean... which is the purpose of art?
I think to express ourselves.
Using art you found a little sea of quiet in your mind....it means that it's your valve, that it is in your DNA. Doesn't matter what others say...art is in you :)

You did very well with this, the only minor crit I have that I can spot - on the right side of the image there is a wedge towards the middle which doesn't line up with the perspective lines. Of course this could be done on purpose - just throws comp off slightly.

It's really cool to do art this way, just throw something on the canvas and see what comes out.

Really great work man, sorry to hear for your loss.
