Hello all, I read sometime ago that it was impossible to run Painter 6 on Windows Vista. I have Windows Vista Home Premium and finally got it to work, even with 2GB of memory. Anyone else have similar luck?

I tried a while back to get it working under xp64 (w/ 4gb of memory) to no avail whatsoever. Tried a number of different things from different sites, all with no luck. I'd love to hear how you goit working.

http://www.edleeart.com/images/cap.jpgHere's a screen cap of it just to show on Vista desktop. I installed 6.0 and then patch to 6.1. Rebooted. When I started Painter I get message 'out of tile'... I shut down computer. With two 1GB memory dimms in each slot ( I only have two slots) took one out, stuck it back in and started the computer. Second time the Painter started up. That's how I remembered it. You have to fake it like you only had 1GB - I know , weird but that's how I did it.

Don't you get white artifacts when you hide the pallets (crt+h)? I have to use a classic skin or a skin that has square corners in Win XP.

No, I tried ctrl+h and I don't see white artifacts. Also, I'm using standard Vista skin and it's running fine.
