WARNING!! This question may be hazardous to your health, but I wondering how to do a lens flare effect in MAX? I know you can do lens flares in video post, and under the rendering menu effects, but which one looks better and is easier to use?

Well Kobra, It really depends on what your trying to achieve. I personally love Video Posts lens flares because you have way more control over them.

You can work on lens flares interactively if you use Render Effects.

MAX's stock Lens Effects tools tend to be really..... stinky. Just to warn ya. For instance, if you change the resolution or aspect ratio of your rendering, you have to change the Lens Effects settings all over again. If you have a better way, use it.
