looks great... nice modeling.. it's look a little shiny.. maybe a bumb map.. a suttle one... or lower the specular a little to not make them real smooth..

thats the only thing I can comment on and I maybe going too far there as well.

I like this alot!!!

The only thing that bothers me is the wall in the background seems like it doesn't fit...

Maybe tone down the bump on the wall and also scale the bump down so it's smaller bumps....

scottiedoo: Yeah, I think a small bump to break up the spec on the pear would be an improvement - my deadline for the image came up and the bump I had on the pear made it look a bit old.. heh.

road: Ha! yeah, back wall texture is a bit soft at this rez, looks better at my original 640x480 render...

Beautiful image.

Lighting is great, the textures are nice.

Things to improve (and really, it already looks great):
1. Too bad the pears are old, not too sure they look tasty. :)
2. Specularity on the pairs makes them seem to smooth, although I think they do have a thin coat of wax, the bumps are usually more evident. (mentioned in previous replies)
3. Stiching on the edges of the cloth would be nice. (if it's there, not evident enough)
4. Composition looks odd with the pinkish wall in the bg, maybe a more complete bg scene (now that you have more time), or maybe just removing any bg visible(?).

Anyways, I know my comments are a rehash of previous replies. I think the image as it stands is great, but could use a little more to give it more character (Think of the music image :) ).

I think I'd rather see more of your upcoming batman character rather than more of the already great fruit bowl image. Take from this message what you will and keep up the great work!
