View Full Version : Looking for a normal map
JuddWack 08-08-2007, 09:04 PM I saw one floating around the net about a week ago and for some reason didn't download it. It was basically a sheet that had a bunch of screws, lines, widgets, etc on for copy and pasting. Anybody have that?

No that's not it but that's about 10 times better than what I saw! Thanks man, it looks like a good read too.
EDIT> At a second glance that stuff looks quite unique. I'd probably be crossing some kind of barrier if I used it. I'm sure there is a lot of helpful information in there though. Thanks.

That isn't really useful for copy/pasting normal greebles, but honestly, you're better off sharing meshes than sharing images, because you can't rotate the images.
There is a thread on polycount where a few people have done that :

I've got a few (not very useful) greebles up there myself.
That image is however absolutely fantastic as a reference.

Thanks for the Greeble's Ghostscape. Upon investigation this is what I'm really looking for. Just simple stuff really, anything real unique I'd prefer to make myself.
